Master of Professional Studies in Informatics

In today’s technology-driven information economy, the Master of Professional Studies in Informatics is designed to equip IT professionals for engineer and management positions within the industry. Students graduate the program with the computing skills and technical training needed to address real-world issues of information strategy, data governance, ethics, data analytics, business intelligence, and so much more.

The degree will present students the opportunity to:

  • Select one of five concentrations including: Cloud Computing, Information Security Management, Leading and Managing Technical Projects, Human Centered Design, and Analytics, or customize your own curriculum
  • Gain practical work experience through electives like Advanced Cloud Computing, Security Analytics, and Network Protection and Cloud Security, which integrate classroom study with experience-based learning. 
  • Study full time or part time on Northeastern's flagship campus in Boston, Toronto or 100% online.
  • Prepare for dynamic careers in areas such as security analysis, cloud engineering, product design, data engineering, and more.
