Doctor of Education

The online Doctor of Education program at Northeastern University is designed to support your role as an adult learner, working professional, and scholar-practitioner. Our EdD is rooted in the Graduate School of Education's mission to cultivate scholar-practitioners who, through lifelong experiential learning, contribute to the transformation of communities toward just and equitable societies.

You'll have the opportunity to:

Customize your coursework with five concentrations: Higher Education Administration, Transformative School Leadership, Workplace Learning, Innovative Teaching and Learning, and Integrative Studies.
Grow your global professional network through in-person residencies in Boston, MA, Charlotte, NC, or Seattle, WA, where you can meet and network with students, faculty, and other distinguished leaders.
Work on a Dissertation in Practice, at the onset of the program, and work with a faculty advisor using advanced research principles to examine a compelling educational challenge.
