The field of nonprofit management needs a new generation of leaders. There is a strong demand for those with managerial, leadership, and interpersonal skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of fundraising, strategic planning, marketing, and governance issues.

Rather than a generic MBA program, it is important to find a degree that closely aligns with the core competencies of fundraising, policy and strategic management.

With a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from Northeastern University, you’ll gain real-world experience while you build the leadership and business skills needed to tackle the unique challenges facing the nonprofit sector.

  • Gain real-world experience and build your resume. Work hand-in-hand with a local organization through your coursework and capstone, experiential projects and participate in our signature co-op program.
  • Chose the learning format that meets your needs. Earn your degree 100% online, on-ground at our Boston or Seattle campuses; or a hybrid format that combines the two.
  • Tailor your degree most meaningful to your career path. Chose one of five concentrations: Fundraising, Leadership and Communication, Project Management, Social Innovation and Social Media and Analytics.
  • Forge connections with a powerful network of alumni. They are driving change at some of the world’s most influential nonprofits including City Year, Pine Street Inn, Boys & Girls Club of America, Dana Farber, and The President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
  • Learn from thought-leaders in nonprofit. Our faculty have had hands-on experience in the field and have their own network of influential connections in the industry.
